The Revival To Challenge New Day at TLC 2019 for SD Tag Titles

The Revival(Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) won the number #1 contender’s Fatal 4-way Elimination match at SmackDown this week to earn the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship match against The New Day at WWE TLC 2019 show.

WWE booked the said number #1 contender’s match between The Revival, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party and the team of Shorty G and Mustafa Ali. Metalik(from LHP) and Gable started the match with some good takedowns and counters. But soon Heavy Machinery took over and pinned Metalik after the compactor to eliminate LHP.

Heavy Machinery continued their domination after the break and Otis seemed like running through the opponents. However, an opportune sunset flip from Wilder and an assisted roll up on Otis led to Heavy Machinery’s elimination from the match.

Gable & Ali then had a mini brawl with the Revival which ended when they send the Revival duo over the announce table and into Kofi and Big E, who themselves were at commentary during the match. The New Day then got into Ali and Gable’s face as we headed to another break.

The Revival were in control of the match for the next few minutes before Shorty G ran rampant. Gable locked in an ankle lock but Wilder was able to fight out and Dawson hit an uppercut followed by the Shatter Machine to eliminate Gable and earn the title match at TLC.

Following the match, The Revival got on the microphones and blasted The New Day for turning the tag team titles into a joke. They told them that after TLC, there will be no more rainbows and unicorns and said after they beat them for their titles, they can return to doing their podcast and start complaining at their desks.
