Johnny Gargano was involved in the main event 2 out of 3 falls match at NXT TakeOver Toronto 2019 against Adam Cole. The hour-long battle ended in despair for Johnny Gargano as Adam Cole won the final fall in the Barbed Wire Cage match after they shared the first two falls. However, one can not take anything away from Johnny Gargano as his performance was one for the ages.

There was no love lost among the fans at the Scotiabank Arena also. As Candice Le Rae came to help Gargano out after TakeOver Toronto went off-air, fans they gave him a standing ovation once and loud “Thank You Johnny” chant. As Gargano reached the entrance ramp, he was greeted by NXT General Manager William Regal, who shook his hand and gave him a hug.

As per some reports online, the feeling around the incident seems to be that Gargano has been called up to the main roster. This would be a logical move for Gargano as he has done almost everything at NXT and looks primed to be a star in the main roster.

Gargano has previously featured at RAW and SmackDown this year in February for a couple of weeks as part of his DIY tag team with Tomasso Ciampa. But an injury to Tomasso Ciampa and his NXT Championship run saw Gargano remain at NXT while other fellow debutants like Ricochet and Aleister Black made their main roster move permanent.

Don’t be surprised if you see Gargano invade RAW or SmackDown next week. Until then, have a look at the segment from TakeOver Toronto.
