WWE NXT April 5, 2022- Results & Live Updates(w/ Preview)

WWE NXT 2.0 episode of April 5, 2022, will start a new phase for the brand with all the new champions in the fallout of Stand & Deliver.

A rematch for NXT Women’s Championship is announced for the show between Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai vs Toxic Attraction. Nikita Lyons vs Lash Legends match is also confirmed. We will also hear from NXT Champion Bron Breakker and North American Champion Cameron Grimes.

The show opens with the recap of Stand & Deliver and how Breakker won the NXT title at RAW last night.

Breakker is the Champ Again!

We go live from the arena and Bron Breakker comes out to the ring. Breakker talks about how wild the weekend was, starting from inducting his father and uncle in Hall of Fame. He then saw the stars like Bianca, Stone Cold, Becky Lynch and others and decided he is not leaving Dallas without NXT Championship. Therefore, he challenged Ziggler once again and won the title.

Imperium comes out to the ring. Gunther takes the mic and says nobody cares about Breakker’s story. He only cares for the title and that title belongs to the best in the ring, and Breakker can not call himself the best until he beats Gunther. Breakker says, it was a wild weekend, but he is ready to face Gunther tonight. The Creed Brothers are coming out as we cut to the break.

Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) vs Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed)

Brutus starts strong against Barthel with big blows. Aicher comes in to take Brutus in his corner. Creed Brothers with some quick tags against Barthel. Aichner comes in and hits a Finlay roll. His knee almost gave out during that move. He hits a backbreaker before tagging to Barthel. Julius cuts him off and tags in Brutus. Barthel hits an enzuigiri on Brutus. Brutus hits some forearms and sends Barthel to the floor. Aichner slams Brutus into the ropes as we cut to a break.

Brutus hits a belly-to-belly suplex as we return. Julius gets the pin and drops Barthel with quick blows and knocks off Aichner from the apron. Julius hits a double underhook suplex on Barthel and Aichner breaks the pin. Barthel is bleeding near the eyes. Aichner walks out on Barthel mid-match. Brutus hits a rack bomb on Barthel, followed by Julius hitting a low clothesline to get the pin.

Winners – The Creed Brothers

After the match, two hooded figures attack The Creed Brothers, who have attacked them a few weeks back. They reveal their face and turns out to be former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly.

Toxic Attraction are interviewed backstage. Gigi and Jacy blame Wendy Choo for lossing tag titles. They are already sick of seeing Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez with their tag titles, and want to hurt them. Mandy Rose says that when you make Toxic Attraction angry, women get hurt.

Title to the Moon!

NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes comes out to the ring. He talks about his father giving everything to this business. He needed to prove his father was right and that Grimes is a WWE Superstar. So, he is very happy to tell us that he is the new North American Champion. He promises that this championship is going to the moon.

Solo Sikoa comes out to interrupt. He congratulates Grimes to fulfill his promises to his dad. But, now comes the hard of holding onto it. He came to NXT to face the best and championships run through his bloodline. “Uso” chants go on as Sikoa challenges Grimes for a title match. Grimes agrees to it. A tense moment as they get into each others’ faces.

Joe Gacy is cutting a pre-recorded promo with Harland behind him. He says one true bond in life is family, someone who truly knows your deepest side, what makes you tick. If someone does not have a family, it will ultimately lead to self destruction. Draco Anthony is watching this on screen. Xyon Quinn walks in and tells him not to pay attention. Draco snaps at him and tells him not to tell him what to do. Quinn says Draco needs a lesson in respect.

Tiffany Straton is ranting against losing her match last week due to Sarray’s interruption. She says Sarray will not be able to see the sun when she is done with her.

Dexter Lumis vs Duke Hudson

Hudson rushes with big shots as the bell rings. Lumis turns it around quickly. Hudson hits an Urinage by cutting off Lumis’ charge. He drops Lumis with a back elbow. Some ground and pound from Hudson as Persia taunts Indi if this is her man. A chinlock from Hudson. Lumis gets to his feet but Hudson slams him back to the mat.

Hudson puts on another chinlock now. Lumis hits back suplex. A leg drop is followed by big righ hands, a corner clothesline, bulldog and a spinebuster for a two-count. Hudson slips to the floor. He goes to pull Lumis into the ringpost. Indi comes and holds Dexter while Persia holds Hudson to start a tug of war. Both men end up getting slammed to the ringpost. The referee counts to 10 and calls the match.

Result – Double Count-out

Raquel and Dakota are backstage and say that they have hurt each other much more than Toxic Attraction ever could. They claim to retain the title tonight.

Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai(c) vs Toxic Attraction(Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship

Jacy gets on Raquel’s back. Gigi gets a blind tag before Raquel throws Jacy away. Raquel drops Gigi with a powerslam. Raquel drops Dakota on Gigi. Quick moves from Dakota as they run the ropes and ends it with a dropkick. Double team work from Toxic Attraction leads to Kai getting dropped. A clothesline from Gigi as Jacy whips Dakota towards Gigi.

Jacy whips Dakota hard to the corner and hit with a corner splash. Dakota slips past Jacy and tags in Raquel. Raquel drops Jacy a couple of times. Gigi runs a distraction as Raquel goes to the second rope. Jacy attacks her knee and hits a handspring splash in the corner to take us to the break.

Raquel hits a tackle as we return and tags in Dakota. Dakota sends Gigi to the corner, drops Jacy off the apron, hits running boot in the corner. She tags in Raquel and hits double stomp from the top. Jacy attacks Raquel and gets send to the floor. Dakota comes back in. Jacy gets a blind tag and hits an inverted bulldog on Kai. She knocks off Raquel from the apron. Kai kicks out of the pin. Double team clothesline from Toxic Attraction and Raquel break the pin. All four women are down in the ring.

Gigi counters a slam with a stunner. Wendy Choo comes down to the ringside, but gets dropped by Mandy Rose from behind. Rose gets to the apron to distract the referee. Jacy hits a chop block on Raquel to drop her to her knees. Gigi knocks off Kai from the apron. Jacy tags in and hits a big roundhouse kick. Gigi and Jacy hits Toxic Shock on Raquel to get the pin and the win.

Winners – Toxic Attraction(Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne)

We get another Joe Gacy promo where he asks what you do when everything goes wrong and the panic button is pressed. You reach out to your family and you do your best to control that chaos, but what happens when you can’t? The chaos controls you then.

AJ Galante is in the ring for Tony D’Angelo’s coronation as the Don of NXT. Galante says there’s a card on the table with Tony’s blood that says that he’s ready to take the oath of the don, which means that if he betrays his oath, he will leave on his back. His loyalty can never be questioned and the code of silence can never be broken. Galante brings out D’Angelo. Galante asks Tony if he is ready to accept the position. Tony replies he is. Galante puts on a Golden ring and pronounces him the new Don of NXT.

MSK are interviewed backstage. They say that last five months have been of twists and turns, but they finally have the titles back and they appreciate them in a way they did not in their first reign. Grayson Waller rolls up with Sanga. Waller has his arm in a sling. MSK mock his injury. Waller and Sanga challenge for a title match. MSK are ready to have the match tonight, but Grayson delays his it due to his injury.

After the break, we see Dakota Kai searching for Mandy Rose in anger. She tells Rose that she is not safe.

Nikkita Lyons vs Lash Legends

Quick back and forth action to start. Both women kip-up at the same time. Lyons nails a kick and a clothesline. Lash hits a pump kick and an elbow drop on the ribs for a two-count. Lash puts Lyons in a chinlock until she gets back to her feet. Lash drops her with a clothesline before hitting a handspring splash. Lyons comes back with an elbow and hits a belly-to-belly suplex.

They trade punches before Lyons hits big kicks to drop Lash. She hits tackles in the corner. She takes Lash to the top turnbuckle and hits a superplex for a near fall. Lash with a double leg takedown and gets a two-count. Lyons hits another roundhouse kick and follows with the Lyons Den to get the pin.

Winner – Nikkita Lyons

Bron Breakker(c) vs Gunther – NXT Championship Match

They start with a show of strength and Gunther back away. They lock up and Breakker puts on a hammerlock and then a side headlock. Breakker with a side headlock takeover. Gunther sends him to the ropes and hits a tackle. Neither men moves much after that. Gunther cuts off Breakker with a big boot. He unloads on Breakker’s chest with big chops. Breakker powers him to the corner and hits tackles. He hits a spinebuster after picking Gunther midair during a leap frog.

Gunther puts on a sleeper but Breakker comes out of it quickly and hits a spear. Breakker goes for a powerslam but Gunther slips out. Breakker has injured his shoulder. Gunther knocks him to the floor. He sends Breakker into the steel steps to take us to the break.

Gunther is firing with chops while working on Breakker’s injured shoulder with the other arm. Breakker comes out of a shoulder lock and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Gunther hits back with a dropkick. He hits a powerbomb for a near fall. Gunther follows with a frog splash from the top for another nearfall. Gunther unloads with big shots on the collar bone and then hits a big lariat to get another near fall. Gunther sets up for another frog splash but Breakker cuts it off with another spear.

Gunther stops powerslam with a big chop and they start to trade big shots. Gunther puts on a sleeper. Breakker hits a jawbreakker to come out of it. Breakker hits the Military Press Powerslam to get the pin and the win.
