NXT Episode- 17 July 2019
- Io Shirai makes her entrance with a new theme and is donning an evil leather look. The crowd won’t let her speak for nearly 5 minutes. She says she doesn’t have any friends, and she doesn’t need any of us. She drops the mic.
- Matt Riddle defeated Arturo Ruas(Adrian Jaoude) in a quick match. Post-match, Killian Dain runs in, attacks Riddle, and puts him through the stage.
- KUSHIDA defeated Apollo Crews. Great reception for Crews. Apollo tries for a one arm powerbomb, but Kushida turns it into the Hoverboard Lock for the win. They shake hands after the match
- Adam Cole comes out for a promo segment, saying he’s going to be a fighting champion, starting with his next opponent “Big” Twan Tucker (who is a graduate of AIW’s wrestling school and was trained by Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae). But Twan says he didn’t come alone, which brings out Johnny Gargano. The brawl breaks out and they go all over the building and in the crowd. The segment ends with Johnny diving off the stage onto Adam.
- Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) defeated Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship. Profits hit the spinebuster/frog splash combo to retain.
- Post-match, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly come down to issue a challenge for the tag titles.
