Impact Hard to Kill 2021 is the first PPV from Impact for the year 2021. This will be the second PPV under the Hard to Kill series. The event will crown the new Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champion for the first time since 2013 when the title was discontinued. The event will also feature AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega in a tag team match.

The event will air live from Impact owned Skyway Studio in Nashville, TN. Due to COVID-19 pandemic issues, it will take place behind closed doors without any fans in the arena.

After becoming the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega appeared on 8 December 2020 episode of Impact Wrestling alongside Impact Co-Executive Vice President Don Callis. Omega would also rekindle his association with former Bullet Club stablemate Karl Anderson. Impact World Champion Rich Swann confronted Anderson backstage and got attacked by Anderson. Anderson was then attacked Motor City Machine Guns(Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley).

Anderson’s tag team partner and Impact World Tag Team Champion Doc Gallows attacked Sabin and Shelley. Swann got involved by attacking Gallows before Omega took out Swann with a hazard sign. Following the incident, Omega and Callis announced that Omega would team up with Gallows and Anderson to face Swann, Sabin and Shelley in a six-man tag team match at Hard To Kill.

Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz vs. TBA – Impact Knockout Tag Team Championship Match

Impact Wrestling announced the return of Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship at Bound for Glory PPV. An 8 team knockout tournament was announced with the final taking place at Hard to Kill 2021. Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan qualified for the final by defeating Taya Valkarie in the semi-final.

Manik defeated Rohit Raju to win the Impact’s X-Division Championship at Final Resolution 2020 PPV. A rematch was announced for Hard to Kill 2021 between them. Chris Bey then defeated Manik in a singles match on Impact’s show on 15 December. Later, Bey revealed he is added to the title match at Hard to Kill, courtesy of his recent win over Manik.
