IMPACT Announces Knockout, Match & Tag Team of the Year for 2021
Deonna Purrazzo has won the IMPACT Knockout of the Year award for the second year in a row.
IMPACT Wrestling aired part 1 of Year End Awards for the year 2022 where it revealed the awards for Knockout, Knockout Match and the tag team of the year award. The winners are chosen through a poll on IMPACT’s official website.
Deonna Purrazzo spent 10 months of the year as the Knockouts Champion and dominated the division single-handedly. The reign included several good matches against Taya Valkyrie, OBD, Jazz, Tenille Dashwood, Rosemary, and Thunder Rosa. With such a terrific year, it was obvious that Purrazzo has won the Knockout of the Year award.
Purrazzo also won the same award in 2020 along with the IMPACT Wrestler of the Year award.
Her title reign was ended by Mickie James at Bound For Glory PPV. This match has won the Knockouts match of the year award for 2021.
IMPACT World Tag Team Champions Good Brothers have been voted as the Tag Team of the Year. Good Brothers started the year as the tag champions but lost them to FinJuice at Sacrifice in March. Later, they won the titles back at Slammiversary in July in a 4-way tag team match.
Last year, Good Brothers won the Finisher of the Year 2020 for their Magic Killer move.
The Male Wrestler, Knockout Tag Team and Men’s Match of the Year awards are yet to be announced for this year and will likely be announced on the December 30 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.
