WWE Champion Brock Lesnar opened the last night’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown from Buffalo to announce that he has quit SmackDown after his request for the match against Rey Mysterio was declined.

Brock Lesnar retained the WWE Championship against Cain Velasquez at WWE Crown Jewel 2019 past Thursday. After the match, Lesnar refused to release the Kimura lock on Velasquez, prompting Rey Mysterio to attack him with a chair. Rey managed for Brock to make a run after some stiff chair shots.

Paul Heyman came out with Lesnar to open SmackDown last night. He told us that Lesnar has asked Vince McMahon to give Lesnar a match with Rey Mysterio to get payback for the beatdown. But Vince McMahon has declined the match since Lesnar and Mysterio are contractually exclusive to FOX and USA Network exclusively these days. These restrictions came in place after WWE Draft 2019.

Heyman then announced that Brock Lesnar has therefore decided to quit SmackDown and will go to Monday Night RAW. He also confirmed that Lesnar will appear at RAW on 4 November from Long Island, New York to hunt down Mysterio.

After The Fiend Bray Wyatt won the WWE Universal Championship, SmackDown had both WWE Champion and Universal Champion in their roster. WWE has come up with this storyline in order to take one championship back to Monday Night RAW.

The whole Cain Velasquez and Brock Lesnar actually started after Lesnar attacked Rey Mysterio and his son Dominic on 30 September edition of RAW. After Lesnar won the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio came out with Cain Velasquez, who was making his WWE Debut that night and was portrayed as Dominic’s Godfather. Velasquez then hit the ring to attack Lesnar and set up the match at Crown Jewel 2019.
