Elimination Chamber 2022: Bianca Belair Becomes No.1 Contender for Raw Women’s Title
Bianca Belair is all set to headline WrestleMania once again as she earned an opportunity to face the Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 38 after winning the #1 contender Elimination Chamber match at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022.
Nikki ASH and Liv Morgan kicked off the match whereas Bianca Belair was the last one to enter the ring. Rhea Ripley eliminated Nikki, and soon after that Liv Morgan eliminated Doudrop before getting eliminated by Alexa Bliss.
Later, Alexa hit DDT to Rhea and Bianca took advantage of it. She hits the KOD and eliminated Rhea Ripley. Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair were the final two participants. In the ending moments, Alexa Bliss tried to hit Sister Abigail but Bianca countered it and hit KOD to get the pinfall.
WWE originally announced 5 names for the #1 contender match for the RAW Women’s title- Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Nikki ASH, Doudrop, and Liv Morgan. These 5 stars were part of a Gauntlet match at RAW this week. Rhea Ripley turned out to be the marathon woman of the match as she outlasted Nikki, Doudrop, and Liv in the match. However, Bianca won the Gauntlet by defeating Rhea and earned the right to enter last in the Elimination Chamber match.
Later, Alexa Bliss also announced herself for the final remaining spot. Bliss returned to WWE last month and was undergoing therapy to shed her supernatural character and her dependence on Lilly the Doll. The therapy was completed this week at RAW.
Bianca Belair won the SmackDown Women’s Championship as she defeated Sasha Banks in the main event of night 1 of WrestleMania 37. She lost the title to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam 2021.
Becky Lynch is currently the RAW Women’s Champion and will defend the title against Lita at Elimination Chamber. It remains to be seen if Bianca gets to face Becky or Lita at WrestleMania 38.
