Becky Lynch was successful to get a submission out of Natalya in their submission match at SummerSlam 2019 and retained the RAW Women’s Championship.
Natalya became the no. 1 contender after winning the Fatal 4-way elimination match at RAW last month where she defeated Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross and Naomi. After that win, the things between Becky and Natalya started becoming tense as Becky told her that her career was going nowhere and Becky is the one who can save her career. Nataly made the save on Becky as she was double-teamed by Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
But then Natalya used the opportunity to lock her in the Sharpshooter. Later, she challenged her to change the match stipulation to a submission match. Their promo war continued over the social media until they faced off at Summerslam 2019 last night.
Becky vs Natalya opened the show at Summerslam. From very early on, both of them tried to use each other’s submission moves. Also, Natalya very cleverly focused on softening Becky’s knee for the sharpshooter. She even used the ropes and the turnbuckles to gain an advantage, completely legal with Submission match rules. However, Becky had the last laugh as she forced Nattie to tap out to the DisArmHer.
