AEW Battle of the Belts Draws More Than 70,000 Viewers

AEW’s first quarterly special event Battle of the Belts viewerships numbers has arrived. The event that aired on January 8 managed to draw more than 70,000 viewers. 

According to a report by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the AEW Battle of the Belts drew 704,000 viewers. It got ratings of 0.27 on 18-49 demographics. 

AEW Battle of the Belts on TNT, Saturday @ 8-9pm:
704,000 viewers
P18-49: 0.27 (355,000)

For comparison, Rampage the night before did 588,000 and a 0.24. Dynamite on TBS Wednesday had 1.01 million viewers and a 0.43 demo rating.

A night before on January 7, AEW Rampage drew 588,000 viewers, and 0.24 on the 18-49 demographic. 

The highest viewership of the AEW Battle of the Belts was during its very first match. Dustin Rhodes vs Sammy Guevara managed to draw 582,000 viewers. Whereas, the second match and the third segment only got 244,000 and 233,000 views respectively. 

During the event, Sammy Guevara defeated Dustin Rhodes to become the very first interim TNT champion. Ricky Stark defeated Matt Sydal to retain the FTW Championship and Dr. Britt Baker DMD successfully defended her title against Riho.
