UFC 267 Main Event & Co-Main Event Confirmed, Will Likely Be Non-PPV

UFC 267 will see Jan Blachowicz vs Glover Teixeira Light Heavyweight Championship fight headline the UFC 267 event, as per a report from MMA Reporter Ariel Helwani.

UFC 267 will air from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Jan Blachowicz won the vacant Light Heavyweight Championship by defeating Dominic Reyes with a TKO in the second round at UFC 253. That event also took place at Fight Island in UAE.

Blachowicz is currently on a 5-fight winning streak and has only suffered one loss in the last 10 fights. His opponent Glover Teixeira(#1 ranked in UFC Light Heavyweight rankings) has also won his last 5 fights, a run that has continued in the last three years.

The co-main event is also confirmed now with Aljamain Sterling announcing that he will face Petr Yan in a rematch for the Bantamweight title. Sterling won the title from Yan at UFC 259 by disqualification after an illegal knee strike from Yan.

Sterling took to Twitter to announce the fight. You can see Sterling’s video below where he also announced his intention to face the winner between TJ Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen at UFC Vegas 32.

In more news related to the event, MMA Reporter Arial Helwani has tweeted that UFC 267 might not a PPV event. This will be the case the event will air at 11 AM EST in order to air in prime time slot in Middle East and Europe.

As Helwani mentioned in his tweets, this will be the first numbered non-PPV since UFC 138 aired on Spike via tape delay from Birmingham, England.
