Ludovit Klein Replaces Erick Gonzalez at UFC 272
According to the latest reports, Erick Gonzalez is out of his scheduled bout against Devonte Smith at UFC 272, and now he will be replaced by Ludovit Klein.
Eurosport Nederland reported this news first which was later confirmed by Devonte Smith on his social media handle.
The reason for Erick Gonzalez’s withdrawal hasn’t been revealed yet. But the good thing is Klein agreed to replace Gonzalez on very short notice as UFC 272 is just around the corner and will take place next Saturday.
Devonte Smith lost his last match against Jamie Mullarkey and that too via TKO. So, he must be looking forward to rebounding from his loss and getting back on the winning track again.
On the other hand, Ludovit Klein also lost his last two matches. In his past two fights, he lost against Nate Landwehr and Michael Trizano.
UFC 272 will take place on March 5, 2022, and will be headlined by Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington.
