Conor Mcgregor Wants UFC Lightweight Title Shot on Return

Conor Mcgregor who is currently out of action due to an injury said he wants to return inside the octagon against the UFC Lightweight titleholder.
It has been a very common occurrence that we see Conor engaging against other UFC fighters on social media. Recently, Marc Raimondi posted a tweet asking who should McGregor face next. McGregor replied he would be returning against the Lightweight.
Conor also mentioned that the trilogy against Dustin Poirier is still unfinished. This might be a hint that we might see Poirier vs McGregor 4 if Poirier manages to defeat Charles Oliviera at UFC 269.
Conor McGregor managed to defeat Dustin Poirier in their first bout at UFC 178 in 2014. But he has lost two consecutive fights to Poirier in 2021 at UFC 257 and UFC 264. In the third bout, Mcgregor suffered a leg injury that has put him out of action. It is still unclear when Mcgregor will return inside the octagon as he remains in the recovery phase.
In follow-up tweets, McGregor shared the pics from his recent training camp and claimed that he does not have any doubt that he will return soon. He also called out all his “enemies” and warned that the war has just begun.
This drew a sharp reply from Nate Diaz who claimed that war was declared a long time ago and Conor was already killed. Diaz was referring to the match at UFC 196 where Conor lost in his Welterweight debut. Although, he was able to win their next bout at UFC 202.
Who do you reckon will Conor end up fighting next? Poirier or Diaz?
