How have Teams Fared So Far!

With series poised at 1-1, both the Indian and England Cricket Team will look to finish the tour on a high.

England’s inning finished at the 43rd and 44th over mark in both ODIs while chasing 300+ scores. The result was different in both matches. While they lost the first match after a terrible collapse, the second ODI was won with a mix of cautious approach and some relentless hitting.

Virat Kohli was pretty happy with the way Indian Bowlers won him the first match. But the same bowlers were unable to get any wickets until very late in the second match. Kuldeep Yadav is the biggest concern as he seems to have lost his wicket taking knack.

Batting has performed well in both matches for India though. Only Rohit Sharma is due a big inning in ODIs. Virat Kohli has not scored an International Century in a long time, but has crossed 50+ in each of the last three innings.

Pitch & Conditions

Just like the last two matches, the pitch on for the final ODI at MCA Stadium in Pune will also be full of runs. In fact, in all three matches between India and England on this ground, the team batting first has always crossed 315 runs mark.

Either team would choose to bowl first when winning the toss. The dew has made a significant impact on bowlers. Although, the win-loss record after batting first is at 50-50 right now.
