India vs England- 2nd ODI- India Scores 336 With KL Rahul Century

KL Rahul scored his fifth ODI century against England

KL Rahul scored his fifth ODI century in the second ODI of the series against England at Pune as India scored 336 after being put into bat by England.

England won the toss once again and decided to bowl first just like in the previous ODI. Jos Butler took on the captaincy responsibilities in the absence of Eoin Morgan who is now out of the series with a hand injury.

Recee Topley, who replaced Mark Wood in the playing XI, got the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan in the fourth over. Rohit Sharma hit him for 4 boundaries in the 8th over but the Hitman got out to Sam Curran in the next over.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul(promoted to 4) stitched a 121 runs partnership to provide a good base to the Indian innings. Kohli hits his third consecutive half century before getting caught to Jos Butler off Adil Rashid.

Rishabh Pant came in and started firing. KL Rahul kept the other end safe as India reached 210 in 40 overs. KL Rahul reached the 100 runs mark in the 43rd over. He hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his inning of 108. Rahul got caught at deep square leg while attempting a pull.

Pant continued the assault with Hardik Pandya as they collected 37 runs in next two overs. Pant got out as he edged a slog on the score of 77. Hardik played a quickfire innings of 35 runs in 16 balls to take India to 336.

Just like the first match, India scored 126 runs in last 10 overs of their innings.

England has two other changes in their line-up as Liam Livingstone(debut) and David Malan came in to replace Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings. England will need to chase down 337 to lever the series 1-1.
