According to the latest reports, the bout between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields is set to take place on September 10 in London.
Dan Rafael reported this news whereas the official announcement for the same is expected to take after July 4.
This bout will unify the women’s middleweight title and crown the new undisputed champion in the division. It is currently the second biggest women’s boxing bout after Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano II.
Claressa Shields is undefeated in her professional boxing career so far. She has never lost more than two scorecards in any of her matches. She defeated Ema Kozin in her most recent outing. She currently holds WBA, WBC, IBF, and The Ring women’s middleweight titles.
On the other hand, Savannah Marshall is also undefeated. She managed to get finish in ten out of twelve bouts. She is coming off Femke Hermans in her most recent bout. She currently holds WBO female middleweight title.
Now, either one of them will get the first defeat of their career when they collide against each other on September 10 in London.
