The Beast Slayer and the OC

The show opens with the highlights of Seth Rollins defeating Brock Lesnar last night at SummerSlam. We cut to Scotiabank Arena where Rollins enters. As he reaches the ring, he sells his ribs a slight bit and takes the mic. He says he honestly did not know if he had in him to beat Lesnar. Last few weeks had been tough for him but he still saw Lesnar in his eyes. But it was the fans that kept him alive. The crowd has started getting behind him with Beast Slayer chants. He gets amped up in his promo and holds the title high when AJ Styles’ music hits.

Styles comes out with Gallows and Anderson. Styles hit the ring and congratulate Rollins. He tells him that now he may not need to worry about Brock Lesnar anymore but he would have to start worrying about him. He challenges Rollins for a match because he is a better champion. Rollins replies that he used to have a lot of respect for him but not anymore. He will teach him a lesson in respect and accepts the challenge. The OC toy with him a little bit, teasing an attack but leaves peacefully.

NXT Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits are backstage. Montez Ford is getting amped up about the prospect of Rollins vs Styles. But Dawkins seems dull and tells us that SummerSlam after went long and he is dehydrated. Sami Zayn approaches them and tells them that its not their fault. He tells them that when anyone comes to RAW, they are full of life but their energy gets sucked from the crowd. He cites the example of Rollins, Becky and several others. Ford also asks him it is true about Samoa Joe also. Zayn says that when Samoa Joe came to RAW 3 years ago, he was menacing but last week he acted sissy during the Roman Reigns accident. Joe was standing behind all this time and challenges him to show that he is more than Kevin Owens’ friend.

A big announcement coming our way as WWE announces the return of the King of the Ring Tournament.

Samoa Joe defeated Sami Zayn

Joe and Sami enter one after the other. They circle each other and Zayn goes right after Joe in an attempt to get an early advantage. Joe runs him over with a clothesline before hitting several headbutts. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch to make him pass out. The referee calls it and Joe has won.

After Zayn is cleared from the ring, Joe takes the mic and tells us that he may forgive Roman Reigns for accusing him for the rigged accident but he will never forget us for blaming him for that.
