Adam Cole-Johnny Gargano To Complete Trilogy at Takeover: Toronto

Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano will the main event the third NXT Takeover in a row when they will compete for the NXT Championship in a 2 out of 3 fall match(or more like 3 stages of hell match) at NXT Takeover: Toronto II to complete the Takeover trilogy.

Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole came face to face at NXT Takeover: New York in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the vacant NXT Championship. Gargano came out on top by winning the consecutive falls to become the NXT Champion after Cole won the first fall. Then, at Takeover: XXV, they once again battled for the title with Cole coming on top.

Since Takeover: XXV, Johnny Gargano was absent from NXT TV. Adam Cole was on his Bay Bay Championship tour where he was traveling through Gargano’s hometown, taunting and threatening Gargano’s relatives and friends. This week at NXT, Adam Cole brought Twan Tucker from Gargano’s Wrestling School to give him a title shot. However, Gargano returned to attack Cole and after the brawl, managed to lock him in Garga-No escape.

A few hours later, NXT posted an interview from General Manager William Regal online where he went on to announce the second 2 out of 3 falls match between these two. However, this time both Cole and Gargano will get to choose a stipulation for each fall. And the third stipulation will be chosen by Regal himself.
