WWE RAW Preview & Matches for Tonight 24 May 2021
WWE RAW will look to continue its momentum towards a better product on 24 May 2021, with several storylines progressing. WWE Championship scene took an interesting turn as Kofi Kingston defeated Bobby Lashley in the main event match last week. Tonight’s show will pick up things from there onwards. Fallout From Bobby Lashley’s Open Challenge
Last week, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley put out an open challenge for anyone to face him in the ring. Kofi Kingston answered the challenge and, with some help from Drew McIntyre, was able to pin Lashley. Although it was not a title match, it was still a significant point since Lashley has been well protected in the last few months.
Lashley will address the loss to Kofi tonight on RAW. Kofi is now eligible for a WWE title match against Lashley, his first since losing the title to Brock Lesnar in October 2019. Will we see the announcement for that match for Hell in a Cell PPV? And where does Drew McIntyre feature in all of this?
Tamina & Natalya(c) vs Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
Shayna Baszler forced Natalya to tap out in a 6-woman tag team match on SmackDown last Friday. With that win, Baszler and Jax will get a rematch for the Women’s Tag Team titles. Tamina and Natalya earlier won the titles at SmackDown two weeks back. This will be the fourth match between these teams for the titles.
Riddle vs Xavier Woods
Matt Riddle tried to be the peacekeeper between Randy Orton and New Day. But those efforts went in vain as Kofi and Orton got in a bigger argument and ended up facing off in the ring. Riddle stood with his tag team partner when he shoved down Xavier Woods, whose antics with the trumpet cost Orton the match.
Now, Riddle and Xavier Woods will clash in a singles match tonight on RAW. This is a first-time-ever match between Riddle and Woods and makes for an interesting prospect.
