List of WWE Superstar Heel and Face Turns in 2023
Pro-wrestling has its own terminology for many things, including how they describe heroes and villains in their storytelling. Heroes are referred to as babyfaces, or simply faces, in pro wrestling, while villains are referred to as heels.
Turning from face to heel or heel to face is a big moment for a wrestler regarding impactful moments, storytelling, and audience reception. These turns are important because, if handled properly, they could propel a wrestler to greatness or set them up for doom.

Heels Turns
- Drew McIntyre: November 13, 2023: Drew completed his long-teased heel turn as he attacked Jey Uso during tag team title match and was revealed to align with Judgment Day.
- Santos Escobar: November 10, 2023: Escobar turned on LWO teammate Rey Mysterio after an argument. He crushed Mysterio’s leg behind the steel steps and ring post.
- Jimmy Uso: August 5, 2023: Jimmy Uso attacked his brother Jey in the main event of SummerSlam 2023 to cost him Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
- The Street Profits: August 4, 2023: The Street Profits attacked Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on Lashley’s orders to confirm their heel turn.
- Bobby Lashley: July 14, 2023: After a hiatus, Lashley returned to SmackDown as a heel.
- Blair Davenport: May 30, 2023: Blair turned out to be the mystery attacker who took out several women on the roster.
- Trish Stratus: April 10, 2023: Trish turned on Becky Lynch after they lost the tag team title match.
- Bron Breakker: April 4, 2023: Breakker attacked Carmelo Hayes in a double turn where Hayes turned face.
- Brock Lesnar: April 3, 2023: After being tweener during his storyline with Bobby Lashley and a face in his feud with Omos, Brock turned heel once again when he attacked Cody Rhodes on RAW after WrestleMania episode.
- Mustafa Ali: February 20, 2023: After his feud with Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali started a comic heel character where he would motivate everyone.
- Logan Paul: February 18, 2023: After eliminating Rollins from Royal Rumble match, Logan attacked Rollins in the Elimination Chamber match to turn back to a heel.
- Drew Gulak: February 14, 2023: Gulak turned on Hank Walker during his match with Charlie Dempsey.
- Chelsea Green: January 28, 2023: Green made her re-debut in WWE as a “Karen type” heel character.
- Alba Fyre: January 21, 2023: After her loss to Sol Ruca, Alba Fyre joined Isla Dawn to turn villain.
- Hit-Row(Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Top Dolla & B-Fab): January 6, 2023: Hit-Row turned heel by attacking Ricochet after he defeated Top Dolla in Royal Rumble qualifier.
- Alexa Bliss: January 2, 2023: Alexa Bliss started reverting back to her Bray Wyatt Universe character and attacked Bianca Belair to turn villian once again.
Face Turns
- Zoey Stark: September 2, 2023: Stark turned babyface after ending her association with Trish Stratus.
- Ronda Rousey: July 1, 2023: Shayna Bazler turned on Ronda at Money in the Bank event and cost them the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
- Maxxine Dupri: June 2023: Maxxine Dupri turned face when she aligned with Alpha Academy.
- Tommaso Ciampa: June 19, 2023: Ciampa started working as face upon return from injury.
- Jey Uso: June 16, 2023: Jey Uso turned face by attacking Roman Reigns at Smackdown when Roman gave him a choice between The Bloodline and Jimmy.
- Jimmy Uso: May 27, 2023: Jimmy Uso turned face by attacking Roman Reigns at Night of Champion when Roman disrespected Jey.
- Alpha Academy(Otis & Chad Gable): April 2023: Gable and Otis slowly started turning faces since the start of the year, which was substantiated after WrestleMania 39.
- Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams: April 4, 2023: Carmelo Hayes was showing face tendencies since his program with Bron Breakker started over NXT Championship. The turn was complete when Breakker turned heel on Hayes.
- Seth Rollins: February 18, 2023: Seth Rollins turned babyface when Logan Paul cost him Elimination Chamber match.
- Nikki Cross: February 13, 2023: Cross has turned heel after revealing that she feels lonely and is looking for friends.
- Santos Escobar: February 10, 2023: Escobar suddenly turned face after he exchanged masks with Rey Mysterio and showed him respect.
- Gigi Dolin: February 7, 2023: Jacy Jayne turned on Gigi Dolin on NXT who will work as a face in this feud.
- Sami Zayn: January 28, 2023: Sami turned babyface at Royal Rumble after being removed from the Bloodline.

In 2022, I’d like to see Mandy Rose turn face, after getting blasted with a shovel by Dakota Kai(the shovel shot was intended for Io Shirai). Dakota takes issue with Mandy getting the headlines and after Mandy loses the NXT women’s championship to Io Shrai, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne join Dakota in attacking Mandy. Io comes back and fights them off and gives Mandy a rematch. The feud would continue on the main roster, after Mandy teams with Bianca Belair and wins the WWE women’s tag team championships from the condescending Carmella and the overbearing Zelina Vega. Suddenly, Dakota Kai, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin show up to challenge Bianca and Mandy, but a newly-crowned Raw women’s champion, Rhea Ripley stands with Bianca and Mandy, making it a 6 woman tag team match(a dejected former Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch would be serving a suspension for her post-match actions, after losing to Rhea Ripley). A new assistant authority figure, Victoria(Sonya Deville is fired and is ordered to return to the ring to wrestle, joining the main roster version of the Robert Stone Brand) bans Carmella and Zelina Vega, entirely from ringside. Rhea, Bianca and Mandy win the 6 woman tag team match as Mandy Rose finishes Dakota Kai with the Bed of Roses move. Afterwards, Rhea, Bianca and Mandy stand with each other, raising their respective championship belts, then greeting the WWE universe fans!!!
