WWE Day 1: Sheamus Wins Kickoff Match Despite Ridge Holland’s Injury
Ridge Holland suffered an injury in the very first WWE match of this year at Day 1 PPV event. However, despite the injury, his tag-team partner Sheamus won the match for him.
Ridge Holland suffered a broken nose during the match and was immediately checked by the doctor. Cesaro flipped Ricochet on Holland in order to attempt a pin. However, Ricochet’s boot landed on the face of Holland that busted his nose open.
Ridge Holland rolled out of the ring and then Michael Cole announced from the commentary table that he would not return as he is being treated for his injury.
The Celtic Warrior still put up an impressive show and managed to win the match for his team. First Sheamus takes out Ricochet outside the floor and hits White Noise to him on the floor. Then, inside the ring, he hit the brogue kick to Cesaro in order to get the pin.
