During the media scrum post All Out PPV, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about smilin’ Kylie Rae’s absence from the show. Khan responded that she has asked for her release from the promotion and her request was approved. Khan also told that the split was amicable. “We talked about it and it was very simple,” he said without going into further details.

Kylie Rae was one of the first names announced as a part of the AEW women’s division. She made her debut for AEW at their first PPV, Double or Nothing, where she was part of the fatal 4-way match against Awesome Kong, Britt Baker and Nyla Rose.

Later, Rae was speculated to face Leva Bates at AEW Fyter Fest pre-show. But Allie turned out in her place to face and defeat the Librarian. Rea was since been absent from any of AEW activities and promotions. The details around Kylie Rae’s release from AEW are limited only to Tony Khan’s statement to media.

Rae has also been relatively absent on social media over the summer and even deleted her Twitter account in August. In recent Wrestling Observer Newsletters, Dave Meltzer has reported Rae is on medical leave and that her status was “a subject nobody has talked about.”

AEW will crown it’s first Women’s World Champion at their TNT debut episode on 2 October. Nyla Rose, winner of Casino Battle Royal at All Out pre-show, and Riho, who won the match against Hikaru Shida, will face off to become the first Women’s champion with the promotion.
