Kurt Angle confirmed that he was set to appear at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 as a special guest referee, but the plans got nixed.

On the latest edition of the Kurt Angle Show, WWE Hall of Hamer himself confirmed that he was indeed set to appear at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia.

Angle stated that the rumors regarding his WrestleMania 38 appearance were not true at all. However, he was scheduled for a few weeks program that would end with being a referee in a match between the Alpha Academy and RK-Bro.

Angle clarified his WWE status as well by saying he is not signed to the promotion. They didn’t cut a deal and the entire program got canceled at the last moment. He explained that they have different plans for those guys and he couldn’t do anything about it.

Alpha Academy vs RK-Bro wasn’t a part of the Elimination Chamber event, and among these four men, only Riddle appeared at the event as he was a part of the men’s elimination chamber match.
