Kay Lee Ray and Bron Breakker have won their respective ladder matches to earn entry advantage for their teams in the men and women WarGames matches.
Last week, Kay Lee Ray joined the team of Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade for the women’s WarGames match this year. She replaced an injured Zoey Stark in the match. Their opponents include Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne and Dakota Kai.
KLR faced Dakota Kai in the entry advantage match this week on NXT. Both teams opened the show with a big brawl before the match. Ray managed to throw Dakota down from the ladder after a hard fought match and retrieved the briefcase.
WarGames match starts with one participant from each team. After 5 minutes, one member of one of the teams enters the match which puts the opposite team at a disadvantage. After this, one member from the opposite team enters the match in two minutes gap. The WarGames match finally begins when all the members have entered the match.
WWE announced a poll to determine the participants for the entry advantage match for the men’s WarGames match. Johnny Gargano from the team Old School and Bron Breakker from the team New School were picked by the fans via voting on WWE.com.
Bron Breakker won that match for his team which includes Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller. Gargano, NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa, LA Knight and Pete Dunne will represent Team Old School.
NXT WarGames 2021 will be the first NXT PPV after its 2.0 revamp and the first NXT PPV event which will not use TakeOver name. The event airs this Sunday, December 5, from Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL.
