Ricochet and Baron Corbin have advanced to the quaterfinals of the King of the Ring 2019 tournament, defeating Drew McIntyre and the Miz at RAW this week.
Ricochet faced Drew McIntyre in the first match this week on RAW to put on a great match. McIntyre started strong between the two of them and took him to cleaners. Match soon settled into a nice rhythm with both of them countering each other’s moves a few times. The crowd was super into the match and the chants of “this is awesome” were going around.
Ricochet kicked out of the pin after a sit out powerbomb and later countered McIntyre to hit the recoil. He finished off the match with his 630 splash. Ricochet will now move on to face Samoa Joe in the Quarterfinals of the tournament next week at RAW.
In the other match of the night, the Miz battled with Baron Corbin. Here also, the heel Baron Corbin dominated the match in the initial exchange before it evened out. Corbin managed to counter figure four and Skull Crushing Finale and hit the End of Days to get the win. Corbin will face Cedric Alexander next week in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
