Kenny Omega Retains AEW Championship In Main Event Of All Out 2021

Kenny Omega defeated Christian Cage in the main event of AEW All Out 2021 PPV to retain the AEW World Championship.

Kenny Omega settled the score with Christian and delivered him his very first loss in AEW in the final match of AEW’s latest PPV event. Omega dominated Christian in the match from the very beginning. He even used a table stomp on Christian in the initial moments.

The match has several jaw-dropping moments including Christian hitting a spear to Kenny Omega which took both of them on the table. Later, Cage even hit a kill switch to Omega but he kicked out of the pin after a delay. The Good Brothers helped out Omega when they ran an interference Christian had put Omega in a Cloverleaf submission.

Christian took Kenny Omega to the top rope to hit the kill switch. However, Callis came to the ring and Omega took advantage of it to take Christian’s eye. After that Kenny Omega connected an Avalanche One-Winged Angel from the second rope to get the pinfall. 

Christian Cage signed with AEW at Revolution PPV earlier this year. He has remained undefeated in the promotion in singles matches so far. This has brought him to the top position in the AEW Men’s Ranking and thus, Christian Cage became the #1 contender for the AEW World Title.

Later, Christian defeated Kenny Omega in the match for IMPACT World Championship at the AEW Rampage episode of 13 August 2021. The storyline continued with Omega & The Elites attacking Christian again and again. At last week’s AEW Dynamite, Omega and company beat up Christian by trapping him inside the Steel Cage.
