WrestleMania 38: Edge Defeats AJ Styles & Gains a New Disciple
Edge defeats AJ Styles in a singles match after a little distraction by Damian Priest at WrestleMania 38 Night 2.
Edge works on the midsection and shoulders of AJ throughout the match. Both the wrestlers gave it their all before Edge eventually walked out of the ring victoriously.
Edge survived a Springboard 45-splash and Styles clash, and on the other hand, AJ Styles kicked out of Edgeomatic.
In the ending moments, when Styles was about to go for the Phenomenal Forearm, he saw Damian Priest outside the ring and was distracted. It delayed AJ Styles’ action, and Edge hit Styles with a spear in the mid-air to get the pinfall. After the match, Damian Priest got inside the ring and celebrated Edge’s win along with him.
WWE Hall of Famer Edge issued a challenge to the entire WWE locker room to step up and face him at WrestleMania 38. The following week, AJ Styles accepted Edge’s challenge and made this dream match a reality.
However, right after that Edge turned heel and brutally attacked AJ Styles. Edge stated he wanted the pitbull AJ at the Showcase of the Immortals and not the one who was the tag partner of Omos.
