Bobby Lashley Defeats Brock Lesnar & Becomes New WWE Champion
Bobby Lashley’s spoiler turned out to be true. The All Mighty defeated Brock Lesnar with the help of Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman to become the new WWE Champion at Royal Rumble 2022.
The match was quite intense and started with an exchange of German Suplexes. Lashley then hit back-to-back spears to Lesnar but the latter went out of the ring to avoid the pin.
Lashley put Brock Lesnar in the Hurt Lock but he countered it. After that Lesnar connects an F5 but it knocks out the referee.
As the referee was unconscious, Roman Reigns entered the ring and speared Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman betrayed Brock Lesnar once again and handed the WWE Championship to Reigns which he used to attack the Beast Incarnate.
A new referee entered the ring and Bobby Lashley successfully pinned Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion. After the match, Paul Heyman walked out with his former client Roman Reigns.
When Roman Reigns was ruled out of the WWE Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar on Day 1, the latter was added to the WWE Championship match which he eventually won.
On the following episode of Raw, Bobby Lashley defeated Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Big E in a fatal 4-way match to become the new #1 contender for the WWE title. Bobby Lashley wanted to face Brock Lesnar ever since he made his return to the promotion in 2018. He finally got his wish at Royal Rumble.
Somehow Bobby Lashley converted this opportunity to get his hands on the WWE Championship once again.
