Royal Rumble 2022: Becky Lynch Retained Raw Women’s Title

Becky Lynch defeated Doudrop to retain her Raw Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble 2022 PPV event. 

Doudrop was dominating at the beginning of the match as she even forced Becky to take several breaks. However, that didn’t last long as the Big Time Becks eventually bounced back after Doudrop hit the steel steps. 

In the ending moments of the match, Doudrop was trying to hit the Vader bomb from the second rope but Becky Lynch countered it and hit the Manhandle Slam from the second rope instead to get the pinfall. 

Doudrop became the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship on the January 3 episode of WWE RAW. She defeated Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair in a triple-threat to get the title match.

It was always speculated that this is a filler feud until Becky Lynch’s feud for WrestleMania. Now, there is a possibility that she will finally face Ronda Rousey one-on-one for the title at WrestleMania.
