Seth Rollins Won by DQ, Roman Reigns Retains Title at Royal Rumble 2022
It seems like the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins is far from over now. Seth Rollins won the match by DQ as Roman kept the Guillotine choke even after Seth touched the rope, and hence the referee disqualified him.
Seth Rollins began his mind games from the very beginning of the match as he came to the Shield music and Shield vest gear.
After the match, Roman Reigns brought the chair and brutally attacked Rollins until it broke out. The crowd booed the Universal Champion as he returned backstage.
On WWE Day 1 fallout edition of SmackDown, Adam Pearce revealed that he had already selected Roman Reigns’ opponent for the Royal Rumble PPV event.
Later, this opponent was revealed to be his former Shield brother Seth “Freaking” Rollins. The latter got the title shot since his match against WWE Champion Big E was earlier turned into a Fatal 5-way match at WWE Day 1.
Seth continued to taunt Roman over his 100% record over him in the singles match. Later, Seth got The Usos barred from the ringside by defeating them in a tag team match partnering with Kevin Owens.
Since the match ended in a DQ, the fans can expect another match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at the Elimination Chamber PPV event in Saudi Arabia.
