Becky Lynch Talked About Her Cancelled WrestleMania 37 Plans

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch confirmed that she was initially supposed to return at WrestleMania 37 and have a match against Bayley. However, later the plans got nixed.

A rumor regarding the same was also going around during the buildup for WrestleMania 37. Bayley got involved in various segments with legends and the host of the show. However, both the nights of WrestleMania 37 concluded without any sign of The Man.

Becky Lynch had a chat with talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy at today’s WWE live event from the O2 Arena in London. During the chat. Lynch revealed that there was a talk about a WrestleMania match with Bayley but in the end, it got canceled.

Lynch also revealed that she wasn’t supposed to return till WWE Draft in October. However, she got a sudden call from WWE during the SummerSlam weekend, and they planned her return. 

Becky Lynch replaced Sasha Banks to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. She defeated Belair in less than a minute and became the new champion. 

Now, Becky Lynch is all set for her first title defense. She will face Bianca Beliar at the WWE Extreme Rules PPV event that is set to take place on September 26.
