Another match for WWE Clash of Champions 2020 PPV is now fixed between Bayley and Nikki Cross for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Bayley cut a fierce promo against Sasha Banks who she attacked last week. Bayley tore into Sasha and said both of them kept each other around to take advantage of each other, and that after last week Sasha was useless for her. As Bayley ended the promo, Cross made her entrance for the #1 contender match, which led to Bayley taking out Cross with a steel chair.
Nikki Cross faced Alexa Bliss, Lacey Evans and Tamina Snuka in the #1 contender match. After Evans and Tamina dominated the proceeding in the first half, Cross came in hot to take out both of them with a crossbody.
However, Alexa Bliss hit her with Sister Abigail as Cross went to check on her, almost confirming that Bliss is going to Firefly Fun House soon. Bliss went to the back during the commercial and was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the match.
Cross made another comeback late into the match and went on to steamroll Evans and Tamina. But the win had to come with a surprise catch of Tamina for a pin.
This will be the third singles title match between Bayley and Cross this year. This is also the third match to be confirmed for Clash of Champions PPV. The current line-up for the next WWE PPV is as follows:
- Drew McIntyre(c) vs Randy Orton – WWE Championship
- Roman Reigns(c) vs Jey Uso – WWE Universal Championship
- Bayley(c) vs Nikki Cross – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
