Baron Corbin wins King of the Ring 2019

Baron Corbin has defeated Chad Gable in the final of King of the Ring 2019 tournament on RAW last night.

Corbin defeated The Miz, Cedric Alexander, and Samoa Joe and Ricochet in a triple threat match to get to the final of the tournament. On the other hand, Chad Gable got wins over Shelton Benjamin, Andrade, and Shane McMahon to proceed from the SmackDown side.

Corbin started the match strongly and dominated most of it. Gable came back in the match briefly into the match and even started working Corbin’s ankle to set up for the Anklelock. But Corbin hit the deep six out of nowhere to get close to winning. Gable once again ran the rally and hit the Chaos theory. He also countered an End of Days attempt and locked in the Ankle Lock.

But Corbin managed to crawl to the ropes and executed the End of Days to get the win. Corbin celebrated his win at the King of the Ring throne at the ramp. But he will be officially coronated on SmackDown episode tonight.

With this win, he has joined the likes of will be joining Harley Race, Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and others in the elite list of King of the ring winner.

Corbin has also built a legacy of his own as he has now become the first one to win the WWE United States Championship, Money in the Bank, Andre the Gaint Memorial Battle Royal and now King of the Ring.
