Alexander Volkov barely had a scratch coming out of his bout against Jairzinho Rozenstruik after a quick first round TKO win at UFC Vegas 56.
Volkov and Rozenstruik clashed in the main event of UFC Fight Night event on June 4, 2022. The event saw all the previous 4 of 5 events on the main card bouts ending in stoppages(3 out of 4 bouts ended in the first round itself).
Volkov was quick at work as the bout started and nailed quick calf kicks and front kicks while trying to get his range going with his jabs. Rozenstruik catch a kick in the second minute to start a quick exchange where he had struck better shots. But, it was not long after this that Volkov nailed a right hand to stun Rozenstruik who wobbled back to the cage.
Volkov continued to nail Rozenstruik with lefts and rights until the referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the bout before the third minute. The bout was stopped at 2:12 in the first round. Volkov has bounced back from a loss to Tom Aspinall earlier in March and looked eager to get back into the cage as he barely had any damage.
