Rafael Dos Anjos defeated Renato Moicano in a dominant way via unanimous decision (49-45, 49-44, 50-44) in the co-main event of UFC 272.
Renato Moicano started things off with a high kick against Rafael Dos Anjos. In the very first round, the fighters tied up and separated three times. On the third occasion, RDA managed to drop Moicano.
RDA was looking strong from the first round and he even landed a kick and a knee strike on Moicano. Dos Anjos kept throwing punches until the first round ended.
Renato Moicano started off the second round cautiously. However, RDA still managed to pin him down, and then kept throwing punches until the round ended.
The fight should’ve been stopped in the third round, as Moicano was completely exhausted, and RDA kept landing his shots.
One of Rafael Dos Anjos’s elbows opened up Moicano in the fourth round and began to bleed profusely, and that too from the same eye that was hurt before.
Moicano’s corner still didn’t stop the match and sent him for the fifth round too. Shockingly, Moicano managed to stand till the final horn of the match and even connected some big shots.
Moicano is earning a lot of praise for his performance but in the end, it was RDA who emerged victorious in the match.
