Conor McGregor Thinks September Date Is Too Early For A Wheelchair Charity Boxing Match
A few days back Conor McGregor confirmed that he would be facing Al Foran in a wheelchair charity boxing match. However, now it seems like the match won’t happen as planned.
McGregor is still ready to participate in the charity event but not in September. After the revelation of this news, a spokesperson of Conor told ESPN that it is still not confirmed whether the Irish superstar will take part at the charity event in Galway or not.
To clear out this confusion, the former UFC champion took to his Twitter handle to inform the fans that he is willing to participate in a wheelchair boxing match but it won’t be possible for him in September. He is still in a recovery phase and it is too early for him to return to action. He also reveals things might work out if he gets a late October or November/December date.
Conor McGregor suffered a broken leg during his fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He lost this fight in the very first round by TKO. Since then, the Irish Superstar is in the phase of a grueling rehabilitation process and at the same time, he is also hoping that he will return to action in the near future.
