UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveria missed weight at the UFC 274 weigh-in, and now he will vacate the lightweight title before the headliner bout on Saturday.

Oliveira came 155.5 pounds in his first attempt, and hence he was given an additional hour to make the weight, but the results remained the same.

Charles Oliveira missed the weight by 0.5 pounds whereas Justin Gaethje weighed 155 pounds. As a result, he is still eligible to win the championship at UFC 274

The main event of UFC 274 will take place as scheduled, but if Charles Oliveira wins, he will become the no. 1 contender for the vacant championship. On the other hand, if Justin Gaethje wins, he will become the champion.

The co-main event will feature Rose Namajunas defending her women’s strawweight championship against Carla Esparza. Both these fighters successfully made weight at 115 pounds.

Along with Charles Oliveira, Norma Dumont was the only fighter who missed weight at the official weigh-in of UFC 274.
