PBC: Ortiz vs Martin

Preview

Charles Martin will return to action after more than one year as he will face Luis Ortiz on January 1 in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Former IBF Heavyweight Champion, Martin would be looking forward to become the mandatory challenger for the title which he lost to Anthony Joshua in 2016. Prince Charles last squared off against Gerald Washington where he won the match in the sixth round. His last loss came against Alexander Kowanaski back in September 2018.

On the other hand, Luis “The King Kong” Ortiz must be looking forward to add to his 45 seconds win against Alexander Flores. Ortiz’s two career losses have both come against Deontay Wilder for the WBC World title. Ortiz would also definitely like another shot at a world title by becoming the mandatory challenger here given that it might be the last chance for the 42 years old to challenge for the world title.

The card will also feature undefeated Cuban heavyweight Frank Sanchez and former world title challenger Gerald Washington in other bouts.
