Joshua-Usyk Rematch to Take Place by April Next Year

Following his loss to Oleksander Usyk, Anthony Johusa immediately exercised his rematch clause and now their second bout will likely take place by April next year.

According to Eddie Hearn, the representation of Joshua, Oleksander Usyk vs Anthony Joshua II will happen by April 2022. Their current goal is to bring the fight back to the United Kingdom. However, they are interested in Ukraine and the Middle East for its locations as well. 

Hearn had a chat with Talk Sport where he stated that the ending of March or early April will be the realistic date for this bout. Both the fighters are resting now, but AJ will do more preparation this time. 

Hearn also stated that the fight in September gathered a lot of viewers in the UK. This time, the fight will be even bigger.

Oleksander Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua in September this year to capture the IBO, IBA, WBO, and WBA Heavyweight Championship. Now both these fighters will collide again next year for the rematch of these titles.
