Extreme Rules 2019: Nakamura Beat Balor to become IC Champion
Shinsuke Nakamura has become the new WWE Intercontinental(IC) Champion after he beat Finn Balor in the Kick-off show at Extreme Rules 2019.
They lock up and come to a stalemate after Balor shoves Naka away and punches him. A basement dropkick coming off the ropes, before Naka counters in the corner. He puts Balor hanging on the turnbuckle and kicks him in the gut. Balor counters with an overhead kick and hits a suicide dive as Naka goes to the outside. He sends throws Naka into the barricade a few times before putting him back to the ring.
Nakamura puts Balor in an armlock but Balor puts his leg on the ropes to force the break. They tried to take control where Nakamura keeps Balor down for some time. Balor hits the Pele kick, trips Nakamura with a dropkick followed by another basement dropkick. Balor hits a few more moves before Nakamura hits a superkick.
Balor gets the advantage back and goes to the top for his finisher. Shinsuke meets him at the top and the sequence ends with him hitting a sliding German suplex when Balor was at the middle rope. He lines him up for a Kinshasa, but Balor stops him with a Stomp. Balor goes for the Coup de Grace and misses. Nakamura hits him with the Kinshasa from the back and hits one more Kinshasa to get the pin.
