The Revival Become Two Times RAW Tag Team Champions

The Revival have become two times RAW Tag Team Champions as they won the triple threat tag team match against Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, and the Usos.

The Revival RAW 10 June 2019

The Revival won the titles for the first time earlier this year from the tag team of Boddy Roode and Chad Gable. They held the titles until WrestleMania where they dropped it to Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins in the Kickoff show. After the Superstar Shakeup, the Usos started a feud with them and tried to humiliate them by leaking their bathroom saving videos and applying the ‘Ucey Hot’ in their ring gear.

A few weeks ago, the Revival won the match against them where it was mentioned in the passing by the commentary team that the winner will get the title shot. Last week, the Usos got the win over Revival at the Super ShowDown 2019 Kickoff show. Earlier, the title match was announced to be only between the incumbent champions and the Revival but yesterday, the Usos were also added to it.

Late in the match, Zack Ryder hit Jimmy Uso with the Rough Ryder but ran right into a superkick from Jey Uso. Jey then cleared the ring by nailing Curt Hawkins and Dash Wilder with kicks, then nailed Ryder again followed by a top rope splash. But Dawson tagged him just as he was jumping off the turnbuckle, threw him off of Ryder and covered the champ for the win as Jey was held off by Wilder.

At the start of the year, reports were circulating that the pair were unhappy with how tag teams were being utilized in WWE. They reportedly requested their releases after a match on an episode of Raw. The pair has also reportedly rejected very lucrative long-term contract extension. Despite that, they have seen more television time in recent weeks as henchmen for Shane McMahon.

This also brings an end to a disappointing reign of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins who were sidelined even after winning the championship.
