Dave Batista Announces Retirement from Wrestling

Dave Batista has announced his retirement from the Sports Entertainment(say WWE/Pro-Wrestling) after his WrestleMania match against Triple H. Batista will retire as a 6-times World Champion with WWE and possibly will be inducted to WWE Hall of Fame in future. He took to Twitter and thanked the fans for their support.

Although his WrestleMania match was not portrayed as his last, but he earlier expressed in the media that he wanted to return to WWE for one last match with Triple H. Hunter’s in-ring career was on the line for WrestleMania match and Batista did mention during the build-up of the match that he wanted to end Hunter’s career along with his own at WrestleMania.

Recently, some rumors were circulating that WWE might want him to work one more match before going away, possibly at SummerSlam. But the announcement makes it clear that it is not the case. Also, it will be interesting to see if Batista will appear at RAW tonight for farewell. Even if that does not happen, we will be able to see Batista in his movies all the time.
