Elimination Chamber 2019 Predictions

Elimination Chamber has now become an integral part of ‘the Road to Wrestle Mania’. This year we have 7 matches in total with 2 inside the Elimination Chamber. Results of some matches are as clear as the sky while for others they are as murky as a pond. Without any further chatter, let’s start the predictions train.

Ronda Rousey (c) vs Ruby Riott – RAW Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Is there any doubt? Ronda Rousey all the way!!!! But everyone will be focusing on how Ruby Riott performs. Charlotte Flair being present in the “front row” will add intrigue.

Shane McMahon and The Miz (c) vs The Usos – SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

Shane and Miz are expected to fall out on the way to Wrestle Mania but it won’t happen at Elimination Chamber. Reason? There is hardly any build-up for their fallout. Last night they were shown as perfect dancing partners and will retain their title. Although, what crazy thing will Shane McMahon do?

Bobby Lashley(c) and Lio Rush vs Finn Balor – Intercontinental Championship Handicapped Match

This is the trickiest of them all. Finn Balor will be crowned champion!! If not here, then at Wrestle Mania. However, a second consecutive PPV loss would be fatal for Balor. The handicapped match stipulation indicates Lio Rush will get pinned and Lashley will ask for a rematch. Lashley losing cleanly is also not out of question.

Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin

This storyline is running for at least 4 months now but this will be their first proper one on one match in this time(they had a no disqualification match at TLC in December but Strowman was injured and his team beat up Corbin). Our guess is that Corbin will win this one with some kind of interference or it will lead to disqualification. Drew McIntyre is not booked for any match which means he is definitely going to be involved in this one. I am very interested in seeing how this match would turn out to be until someone interferes.

Daniel Bryan(c) vs AJ Styles vs Randy Orton vs Samoa Joe vs Jeff Hardy vs Kofi Kingston – WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match

If there was ever a bigger clue over who will win this bout. WWE is heavily invested in Daniel Bryan’s heel+environmentalist character and with the introduction of a custom Championship Belt made completely of Wood and Hemp, we hardly see them rip it off from Bryan. Either by hook or crook, Bryan will retain his championship. Some new storylines will start during this match though as we hardly see them continue with Bryan and Styles’ storyline to continue after this. Also, there are chances of Luke Harper showing up in a similar fashion as Erick Rowan did.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan) vs Nia Jax and Tamina vs Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose vs The IIconics (Peyton Joyce and Billie Key) vs The Fabulous Glow (Naomi and Carmella) –WWE Women’s Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match

One thing is clear for this match: winners will not be from SmackDown. There are hardly any challengers for the title in the SmackDown roster to fill up the places, so the title belt will go to RAW for now(Although that might change after Superstar Shakeup in April). From RAW teams, as the champions will be inaugural ones, Sasha Banks and Bayley will be perfectly suited. But if Sasha’s injury is a hindrance, then we might see the Riott Squad win this one (it will be a consolation for them for Ruby Riott losing her bout against Ronda). Also, this might be the main event match instead of WWE Championship match.

Buddy Murphy(c) vs Akira TozawaWWE Cruiserweight Championship Match

Buddy Murphy is on his pursuit to become the greatest Cruiserweight Champion of all time but he is facing the man who took away the title from the last greatest Cruiserweight in Akira Tozawa. But Tozawa could not beat Neville until their third championship bout. So, Buddy Murphy is currently safe as the champion.
