Hikaru Shida vs Brit Baker Announced For AEW Double or Nothing 2021

AEW has announced the first match for AEW Double or Nothing 2021 PPV with Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida defending her title against Dr. Britt Baker.

Hikaru Shida won the title at last year’s Double or Nothing event. By the time this match comes around, Shida would have held onto the title for more than one year. Shida is actually undefeated in singles competition since 4 December 2019 when she lost to Kris Statlander.

DR. Britt Baker DMD is currently the #1 ranked wrestler in the latest AEW women’s ranking with 8-1 record in 2021.

AEW confirmed the title match between Shida and Baker during this week’s AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts show. AEW has also announced a #1 contender match between PAC & Orange Cassidy to face AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing.
