NXT has won the night of WWE Survivor Series 2019 in the so-called battle of brand supremacy against WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown.

As it has become the tradition in the last few years, the Survivor Series was the battle between Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and for the first time in its history, NXT. The wrestlers from each brand battled in the different matches last night at Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. By the end of the evening, NXT lead the wins column with 4 wins while SmackDown and RAW only got 2 and 1 victories respectively.

SmackDown won the first match of the night in the pre-show. This was a 20-man tag team battle royal, in which Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode won after last eliminating the Street Profits. The kickoff show continued with an NXT Cruiserweight Championship match between Lio Rush (NXT), Kalisto (SmackDown) and Akira Tozawa. Rush retained his title and put NXT on the board with their first win.

The Viking Raiders then got the first win of the night for RAW after winning the last match of the pre-show by defeating The New Day and The Undisputed Era in the match of Tag Team Champions. This tied up the score going into the main show with one win each for NXT, RAW and SmackDown.

The Women’s Survivor Series match started the main card. After some infighting within the team, all 5 members of RAW were eliminated. The final two competitors turned out to be Sasha Banks and Rhea Ripley. And Ripley then got the win with some help from Candice LeRae and Io Shirai.

Roderick Strong then gave NXT two wins lead when he stole a victory from AJ Styles during a triple threat match between the mid-card champions of the brands. Late in the match, Styles nailed the IC Champion with a Phenomenal Forearm. But before Styles could get the pin, Strong ran in and toss him out of the ring and scored the pin himself.

The Men’s Survivor Series elimination match was another interesting affair as WWE UK Champion WALTER turned out to be the first elimination. Later, Braun Strowman was counted out by the referee in another confusing booking decision of the night. SmackDown then picked up a victory when Roman Reigns won the battle against Keith Lee for the final two.

Surprisingly, the Women Champions’ match between Becky Lynch(RAW), Shayna Baszler(NXT) and Bayley(SmackDown) was the main event for the night. The NXT Women’s champ came away with the win by tapping out Bayley while Lynch was tossed over the commentary.
