Dr. Britt Baker Defeated Tay Conti to Retain Her AEW Women’s Championship at Full Gear
Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. defeated Tay Conti in a hard-fought match at AEW Full Gear to retain her AEW Women’s World Championship.
During the match, it felt like Conti would finally end Britt Baker’s reign. However with a little help from Hayter and Reber, D.M.D. still managed to stay at the top of the AEW Women’s division.
There were several jaw-dropping moments during the match and the most shocking one among them was Baker stomping Conti on the steel steps.
In the ending moments of the match, Tay Conti hits Baker with the DDTay but she kicks out. After that Britt Baker counters her hammerlock DDT and gets the pinfall by rollup.
Tay Conti is one of the most dominating athletes of the AEW women’s division and had an impressive win record. She still fell short in winning the title from DMD.
Now, it will be interesting to see who will challenge Dr. Britt Baker next for AEW Women’s World Championship.
