NXT Women’s Title Match to Go Against AEW Dynamite Premiere
WWE has announced that NXT Women’s Championship match between Shayna Baszler and Candice LeRae will take place on 2 October 2019.
Shayna Baszler will be closing in on a year as the NXT Women’s Champion in his second title reign. She won the NXT title from Kairi Sane at WWE’s first-ever Women’s only PPV show- Evolution in October last year. She has since successfully defended the title against the likes of Kairi Sane, Bianca Beliar, Mia Yim and Io Shirai.
Candice LeRae recently became the no. #1 contender against Shayna Baszler by winning a fatal 4-way match. The other wrestlers involved in that match were Bianca Beliar, Mia Yim and Io Shirai. LeRae won the match after a moonsault on Mia Yim and pinned her.
Interestingly, LeRae was not originally included in the no #1 contender match. She was only added to the match after she took offense to Io Shirai being in the match in the first place.
WWE later announced that the match between them will take place at 2 October episode of NXT. This will be the same night AEW Dynamite premieres on TNT and will have the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion crowned.

NXT is holding a no #1 contender match for NXT Championship between Matt Riddle and Killian Dain. It will not be a surprise if the NXT title match would down at 16 October episode when Chris Jericho will defend AEW World Championship for the first time. NXT vs AEW rivalry has truly arrived.
