Backstage Update on Release of Karrion Kross

According to the latest reports, Vince McMahon pulled Karrion Kross off the TV and released him because he didn’t get over with the audience. 

On Thursday eve, WWE released Karrion Kross with a bunch of other superstars including his fiance Scarlett Bordeaux. 

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that Kross failed to get over with the audience ever since his main roster debut. The company was also planning to change the character of Kross for the third time. 

There were reports that Karrion Kross would also get a new entrance theme and music. The new vignettes of Raw also teased this character changer. However, it never happened. 

Karrion Kross made his NXT debut last year in April. Soon after that, he won the NXT championship. However, he had to relinquish it due to an injury. However, he returned again and defeated Finn Balor to win the NXT championship for the second time. 

He was undefeated in NXT until his streak broke when he lost the NXT Championship match against Samoa Joe. In this year’s draft, Kross was picked up by WWE Raw. He had worked in some live events in October as well before getting released yesterday.
