Welcome to ITN’s Live blog for WWE Friday Night SmackDown episode of 2 April 2021(4/2/2021) as we bring you the Live Results, Updates, winners, highlights and videos from the show.

With WrestleMania just 9 days away, the anticipation for this show should have been sky high. Yet, the only thing that we know about this show is that Youtuber Logan Paul will be appearing. But, being a WWE fan, we will still pen out TV sets to see what the company will put in front on us.

Edge comes out and rants against Daniel Bryan. He says speed bumps were inevitable on the road to WrestleMania but he got played by Adam Pearce. He had a week to reflect to his actions and saw the real Rated R-Superstar in himself again. He continues to talk some more and says that Reigns, Bryan or Pearce understand the ramifications of what has been done. He ended the segment saying that he will not miss the Chair-con-to next time on Bryan and Roman.

The commentary team hypes Daniel Bryan vs Jey Uso Street Fight. Kayla Braxton catches up with Edge and asks about the Street Fight. Edge says he will not be one bit if Jey Uso takes Bryan out and he is not able to make it to WrestleMania.

Alpha Academy, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler defeated The Street Profits, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. Montez Ford was pinned after Otis hit him with a splash.

Paul Heyman goes to Adam Pearce & Sonya Deville backstage with a No Holds Harmless Clause. It strips Jey Uso from all liability in tonight’s Street Fight against Daniel Bryan.

Seth Rollins and Cesaro get an in-ring interview with Corey Graves. Cesaro says this is biggest match of his career before taunting Seth over the swing from last week. Rollins says he will not be shaken up and is untouchable at this time of the year. Cesaro retorts by saying that Rollins is not un-swingable. Rollins threatens to end Cesaro’s WrestleMania dream by taking him out right now. Cesaro dares him but Rollins choose to back away.

Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler with a surprise roll-up in 30 seconds. Nia Jax enters the ring to start a brawl. Tamina also come in. Riott Squad, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose, Lana and Naomi also join in the brawl. Natalya and Tamina stand tall at the end. Carmella was watching all of this from backstage. Billie Kay approaches her with her resume. Carmella immediately dismisses her, then calls her back to indicate a new tag team.

Sami Zayn is at Red Carpet waiting for Logan Paul. A limousine drives in and Paul walks out of it. Sami & Paul walk on the red carpet together.

After the break, Sami enter to the ring. Logan Paul also get to the ring. The ring is also set up with two director’s chairs and a red apron cover. Sami talks about Paul being here lends credibility to his conspiracy claims. They air a Rated T(Truth) cinematic style trailer for the documentary. Sami asks Paul what he thinks of the trailer. Paul says it’s a lot to take in. He then says he talked to Kevin Owens backstage who told him Sami is delusional. Sami rants at Paul but asks him to come to WrestleMania as his Guest of Honor. Paul agrees. Kevin Owens attack Sami with a stunner.

Edge tells Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville at backstage that changing the Universal Title match at WrestleMania was a big mistake, but the Street Fight between Bryan and Uso is actually a good idea. He will be on commentary for the match.

Bianca Belair defeated Carmella in a short match after hitting KOD to get the pin. After the match, Sasha Banks suddenly tries to attack but Belair counters and says not today, pointing up at the WrestleMania 37 sign. Banks smiles and heads to ringside to taunt Belair, raising the title in the air as Belair looks on from the ring.

We see replay of Baron Corbin attacking Drew McIntyre on RAW. Corbin is backstage now, ranting about being tired of not getting respect on SmackDown. He heard Lashley’s offer and decided his time now. He says he will take Drew out on Monday and then go to WrestleMania to win the WWE Title.

Apollo Crews cut a promo backstage saying he has been disrespected by Big E. He then challenges Big E to accept a Nigerian Drum Fight stipulation for their WrestleMania 37 match. This is an ancient duel created by his ancestors for those who have been wronged, as a way to make things right. He explains the rules, which are essentially a No DQ match rules.

Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso in a street fight. Post-match, Bryan takes out Edge with a running knee and beat him up for a while at ringside. Roman Reigns was at the ramp during the match. Bryan attacked him after getting done with Edge. Bryan ends up putting Roman in the Yes lock at the stage. The show comes to an end with Bryan standing tall.
