UFC officials have confirmed that Michael Chandler vs Justin Gaethje will kick-off UFC 268 PPV event that will take place at Madison Square Garden this Saturday.
It is one of the most-anticipated bouts and now the fans are even more excited that Chandler and Gaethje will kick off the main card of one of the biggest UFC events of this year.
UFC officials have confirmed this news to MMA Fighting whereas Ariel Helwani was the first one to report this news.
It will be Michael Chandler’s third bout in the UFC. He made an impressive debut against Dan Hooker earlier this year at UFC 254 and knocked him out in the very first round. His second fight came against Charles Oliveira for the vacant Lightweight UFC Championship where he lost the match in the second round by TKO.
On the other hand, Justin Gaethje’s last octagon appearance was at UFC 254 where he lost the match via technical submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, before facing Khabib, Gaethje ended Tony Ferguson’s twelve-fight winning streak.
Both Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje lost their previous bouts and now they’re determined to win their next one when they face each other at UFC 268.
